About Kelly

I am a Canadian artist and designer with over 35 years of experience in painting and decorative arts. While attending university I took art history and visual art courses, and it was during this time that I realized that a thrift store lampshade or chair could become a blank canvas to create not only art but useful items to decorate a home. I was hooked. My decorative pieces draw inspiration from global folk arts and Art Nouveau creations, melding them together with a distinct contemporary flair. My most recent line of stools is created to be both decorative and functional, capable of serving as a seat, a side table, or a centerpiece. Created on Vancouver Island, these pieces can now be found in houses across Canada. My paintings draw from similar sources of inspiration but also highlight my love for the natural world. Melding striking patterns with floral still lifes, these acrylic paintings are available in a variety of shapes and sizes.
